Create a new Solution in DATAFLOW Designer

 

This Guide Article has been written for Version 2.1 of the DATAFLOW Software. For Previous Releases use the version selection in the navigation bar at the top of this page.

 

In this Guide you will learn how to create a Solution in DATAFLOW Designer. A Solution defines the place on your computer where you save your work.

 

File Formats

DATAFLOW Designers offers two solution formats:

• Single File
  All your data is stored in a single binary file. This is good when you plan to share the solution with other developers using a document management system or file share with exclusive checkout.
• Multi File
  All your data is stored inside a single folder as a set of text files. This format is good if you plan to check your work into a source coontrol management system such as git, because it allows to merge your work with changes from others (using external tools).

Note: If another Solution is already open, it must be closed first.

 

Creating a new Solution is done in 3 steps:

1. Select a Name, Location and Format for the Solution
2. Select the Initial Project inside the Solution
3. Configure the selected Project

Step 3: Configure the selected Project
