Solution Settings (DATAFLOW Designer)

The Solution Settings contain all settings for a DATAFLOW Solution. These settings will stored inside the solution and will be the same for all users.

Note: When a user changes any solution setting, this will affect all other users of the same project.

 

Open Solution Settings Dialog

The Dialog to edit the Solution Settings can be shown in the following ways:

Press Ctrl + Alt + K on the Keyboard

Select 'Solution settings' from the Solution context menu shown when the Solution entry or the empty area is right clicked in the Explorer Window.

Click the 'Settings' button in the Home ribbon

 

Dialog Actions

icons8-esc-48.png The Dialog can be closed by pressing the ESC key on the keyboard, the Cancel button or the Cross Button in the top right corner. This will discard all changes.

mceclip2.png The Confirm button will save all changes and close the dialog.
mceclip4.png The Apply button will save all changes, but the dialog will not be closed.

 

Solution Setting Pages

The dialog is organized in pages. The following pages are shown for a DATAFLOW Solution:

  • Solution Info
  • Path macros
  • Project Pages

In this section, all settings for each page are explained.

 

Solution Info Page

The Solution Info page shows read only information on the open solution.

Required Module: DATAFLOW Designer

Name This field shows the name of the solution. To change this, save the solution under a new name (File / Save As ..)
Storage Format This field shows the storage format of the solution (single file or multi file).
Created This field shows the time stamp when the solution has been created.
Created By This field shows the name of the user that has created the solution.
Last Changed This field shows the time stamp when the solution has been last saved.
Changed By This field shows the name of the user that has last saved the solution.

 

Path Macro Page

The path macro page allows the user to view and edit path macros for the Solution.

This page works exactly as the same Page as documented in the Application Options reference article. In addition to the Application Macros, this page will also show the Macros defined for the Solution.

 

Project Pages

For each project inside the solution, all pages are shown in the Solution Setting dialog. These pages are documented in the Project Configuration Settings reference article.
