Explorer Window Actions (DATAFLOW Designer)

Access the Explorer Window

The Explorer window in the DATAFLOW Designer can displayed or hidden from the View Ribbon:

Press Ctrl + Alt + E on the Keyboard to show/hide the Explorer window

 

 

Explorer Window Actions

 

mceclip1.png The Cross button in the Explorer window can be used to close it.

The Arrow Down button opens a drop down menu to access the window positioning settings.

The Pin button in this position shows the Explorer window permanently.

The Pin button in this position will cause the Explorer window to disappear and hide it behind the following button. To access the Explorer window again the user needs to hover the Explorer button.

The Filter in the Explorer window can be used to find items and Data Types in the solution.

The Create new elements button is used to create new Components and Data Types

The Window Properties button is used to

  • change the Explorer view type
  • change the Ordering of the list items
  • access the Solution settings

 

 

Create Design Components and Data Types from the Explorer Window

To access the create menu press the following button on top right of the Explorer window mceclip0.png.

 

The drop down menu offers all available Components and Data Types that can be created from the Explorer.

Create System Component

Create a System Component in the root diagram window.

Create Active Container

Create an Active Container in the root diagram window.

Create Active Part

Create an Active Part in the root diagram window.

Create Interrupt

Create a system component in the root diagram window.

Create Protocol

Create a new Protocol in the Protocol Editor.

Create Signal

Create a new Signal in the Signal Editor.

Create Enumeration

Create a new Enumeration in the Enumeration Editor.

Create Custom Type

Create a new Custom Type in the Data Type Editor.

Create Group

Create a new Group item for Data Types.
