System Requirements

Operating System

The DATAFLOW Designer software requires one of the following operating systems with the latest updates:

• Windows 8.1
• Windows 10

DATAFLOW Designer runs on the 32- and 64-bit versions of those operating systems.

 

Hardware Requirements

DATAFLOW Designer requires an Intel Core i5 or similar CPU and 2 GB of RAM. A core i7-4770 and 8 GB of RAM are recommended.

 

Installation

Run the DATAFLOW Installer to install the DATAFLOW Designer and DATAFLOW Simulator on your Windows OS.

Click the "Next" button to continue in the install menu.

Define the installation location and agree to the Data Privacy and End User License Agreement.

Press "Install" to start the installation Process.

 

After a successful installation you will be presented a dialog to

• launch the DATAFLOW Designer and/or
• launch the DATAFLOW Simulator
• create Desktop Shortcuts

The installer will install the most recent version of DATAFLOW Designer on the target computer. It is also possible to select an older version if required (see Checkbox in the bottom of the dialog in figure 1) by the project (ask the project leader which version to use). Multiple major/minor versions of DATAFLOW Designer can be installed side by side if required for different projects.

 

NOTE:
This means that, for example, versions 1.4.1 and 1.3.3 can be installed side by side. An installation of version 1.4.2 will overwrite version 1.4.1 because both are located in the V 1.4 folder but will not alter the 1.3 installation.
